Jobs and RESPONSIBILITIES
We were talking about the importance of having responsibilities at home. The girls brainstormed lists of all the jobs that have to be done at home and we discussed what jobs would be appropriate for them to do. Over mid term, the girls are going to undertake a challenge to do at least six chores a day under the supervision of their parents or guardians. Parents/ Guardians will then sign off on what jobs their child has completed that day. If the girls complete at least 6 jobs each day they will receive a dojo point when they return to school.

Trip to Fighting words
The class went on their trip to Fighting Words today. They created, wrote, illustrated and published their own story 'Piggy Learns to Fly' with the help of the volunteers working in the center. They had to prove to the cranky publisher that they were good writers and not 'babies' as he had so rudely believed! They managed to win him around in the end... Their story can be read at https://www.fightingwords.ie/stories/piggy-learns-fly
Enjoy reading their stories at home this evening! We all had a great day and thanks again to the parents who offered to volunteer for the day.
